🎯 Goal
Build rock-solid timing. Every note lands exactly on the beat — no rushing, no dragging. The metronome is your timing coach.
📋 Quarter Note Mode (Start Here)
1
Select ♩ Quarter Note tab. Set BPM to 60.
2
Press ▶ Start — the beat boxes light up 1→2→3→4.
3
Play any open string on every click. Count out loud: "1 · 2 · 3 · 4".
4
Once comfortable, play your scale notes instead of open string — one note per beat.
📋 8th Note Mode (After Quarter Feels Easy)
1
Select ♪♪ 8th Notes tab. Keep BPM at 60 — don't increase it yet.
2
Now play 2 notes per click. Count: "1-and · 2-and · 3-and · 4-and".
3
The small "and" boxes between beats show the halfway point. Hit both the beat AND the "and".
📈 BPM Progression
Start at 60 BPM. Once you can play 4 clean measures without rushing, increase by 5 BPM. Your target is 100 BPM for quarter notes — the progress bar tracks this. Never jump more than 5 BPM at a time.
⏱ Recommended Time
5 minutes daily. First 2–3 min on quarter notes, last 2 min on 8th notes. Use this drill after fretboard and scale drills when fingers are already warm.
